Management
As part of the behavior management in our classroom, each student will be given a clothespin that will be clipped each morning to the "Ready to Dive In" section of the chart.

Throughout the day, if the student demonstrates role-model behavior or goes about and beyond, he/she will be asked to move their clothespin up to the "Fin-tastic" section. If the great behavior continues, the clothespin will move by sections to the "Star Student" section! Students whose clothespins are at the"Star Student" section at the end of the day will receive a jewel on their clothespin. Once a student receives 3-5 jewels, they will be able to choose a prize from the treasure chest!

In contrast, if a student is off-task or is making unwise choices, the clothespin will move down to the "Slow Down" section and be given a chance to correct the behavior. If the behavior continues, they will move down to the "Crabby" section and will be given a warning. If the behavior still continues, the student will move to the "Shark Bite" section and I will contact that student's parents. In that instance, I will discuss with the parents ways to help that student improve, and together, we will come up with a plan for the future.
